Since coming third on the TV talent show, The X-Factor, One Direction have had a string of worldwide hits. And now, once again, our coolest boy band have done us proud - this time by breaking a Guinness World Record!

 

 

 

Their awesome album, Up All Night, topped the US charts earlier this year. This is the first time in history that a British group has gone straight no.1 in the USA with a first album! Yey!

Talking about their achievement, One Direction said - "Being the first British band to debut at Number 1 in America with a debut album is something that we would have never even have dreamt of. We are incredibly proud to have this achievement included in the Guinness World Records book!”
