Keep it in the family!

NG Kids catches up with Disney Channel star Jason Dolley, to find out about his cracking new comedy, Good Luck Charlie

NG Kids Hi Jason! So what’s your new show about?
Jason Dolley Good Luck Charlie is a comedy about a family and their new arrival: a baby girl. There are two parents, two teenagers and an 11-year-old kid in the Duncan family before the new baby arrives. The show is all about the family adjusting to life with a new arrival!

NGK What are the kids in the family like?
Jason Gabe is the youngest brother. He is wise beyond his years and he’s a conniving little guy who is very funny. Then there’s a middle child called Teddy. She decides to make a video diary for the new baby, Charlie, because she thinks it will help the youngster survive the Duncan family.

NGK Cool! And who do you play?
Jason I play the role of the oldest brother, PJ. He is a good guy, but he’s not the smartest person in the world. His heart is in the right place and he wants to be rock star, so he loves to play the guitar!

NGK Are you a wannabe rock star in real life?
Jason No way! I love music. I love playing the guitar and I love playing the piano, but performing isn’t really my thing. The rock star lifestyle doesn’t appeal to me either.

NGK Are you a good singer?
Jason I have a confession: I cannot sing! People assume you can sing because you’re working on Disney Channel, but it’s not always true. I’m terrible!

NGK So there’s no Jason Dolley CD in the works?
Jason No way! You won’t be seeing anything like that. I promise!

NGK What else do you like to do when you’re not working?
Jason I love playing video games. I was practically raised on video games! I played them from a very young age – back on the Super Nintendo – and now I’m into the new Xbox 360 and the Wii. I also love to read comic books in my spare time – especially Batman comics!
